OpenAI’s new GPT-Live system brings full-duplex voice interaction to ChatGPT, allowing more natural turn-taking, interruptions, and conversational flow. The more important strategic signal is that OpenAI is treating voice as a serious interface for longer, higher-value workflows rather than a demo feature.

2) Anthropic is testing an “off switch” for dual-use model knowledge
Anthropic and AE Studio published research on GRAM, a training method intended to place dual-use capabilities into removable modules. If this line of work holds up, it suggests a more fine-grained safety direction: isolating dangerous capabilities without discarding the rest of a model’s usefulness.
